Sustainable and resilient social system for healthy nature

This prioritized theme, covering multiple social issues, aims to build a new circulating society system. It aims to find solutions based on scientific knowledge and technological development, and feed back solution impact evaluations to make our human and natural environments more sustainable and resilient. In FY2021, R&D is conducted with a focus on "building a social system that is prepared for a drastically changing environment and increasingly severe natural disasters", taking into account the relationship between urban and rural areas and public health, with a focus on the urgent global issues of "climate change" and "disasters".
