Sustainable and resilient social system for healthy nature

This prioritized theme, covering multiple social issues, aims to build a new circulating society system. It aims to find solutions based on scientific knowledge and technological development, and feed back solution impact evaluations to make our human and natural environments more sustainable and resilient.
The prioritized theme in FY2022 focuses on R&D that aims to solve social issues by combining multiple perspectives of "Food, Water, and Environment" and "Consumption and Production" while taking into account their relationship with "Decarbonation and Energy" and "Climate change, Disaster, and Infrastructure. " We put emphasis on R&D that includes our key concepts "novel creation of environment" and "maintenance of life and living organisms and utilization of biological resources."
