Summary:
The realization of a carbon-neutral society requires theinnovation of catalytic technologies that synthesize fuelsand chemicals from raw materials such as water, carbondioxide, and biomass. This research aims to establish a“reaction exploration platform” that efficiently discoversnew values from vast unknown spaces, replacingtraditional catalyst development based on causalrelationships. The reaction exploration platform is atechnology that simultaneously discovers new reactionsand catalysts by efficiently exploring unknown spaces. Intraditional approaches, a specific reaction exists first, followed by the development of a catalyst for it. However, this research enables the exploration of both unknownreactions and catalysts through high-throughputexperimentation and feature engineering, withexploration efficiency further enhanced by theintroduction of autonomous techniques and optimizedsearch algorithms.
