CHIRP <Collaboration Hubs for International Research Program>

1) Purpose

ASEAN Countries: Environment/Energy, Bioresources, Disaster prevention
India: Information and Communications Technology

Under the agreement of MEXT, this research builds on the network and outcomes established for future international collaboration with vital diplomatic regions in ASEAN and India. By strengthening solutions and innovation in global and regional scale problems and national science and technology, along with foundations for partnered and regional cooperative research, the program promotes Japan's continuous support through face-to-face collaboration.
