I specialize in social capital theory, which focuses on the understanding that interpersonal connections (human relationships) can have both positive and negative effects. Within this area of research, social isolation is a critical concern. Investigating the reasons why individuals become socially isolated is both an important academic inquiry and a significant social issue. I hope that the mechanisms that lead to social isolation will be elucidated through academic research, thereby contributing to the actual prevention of isolation.
From this perspective, this program provides an ideal opportunity for me to engage in academic research on social isolation and loneliness and its practical implementation in society. I look forward to receiving project proposals that integrate fresh ideas in academic research with innovative approaches to social implementation.
