Research Theme

A dielectric material with size of several microns confines electric field of light as geometrical resonance, in which the light is going around inner face with total reflection. On the other hand, a photonic crystal which is periodically arranged micro-dielectric material also confines electric field of light and makes up resonation near band gap. In this proposal, I aim to "characterization control of scattering field of light" and "propagation control of light" modifying spatial structure of the electric field utilizing magneto-optical effect.
