Research Theme

A novel in-situ method for the measurement of interfacial photo-reactions using cavity ring down spectroscopy (CRDS), electrospray mass spectrometry (ESMS), and photolysis lasers will be developed. The mechanisms of photo-reactions at the gas/liquid interface, which play essential roles in atmosphere and living system, will be unraveled by this method monitoring the dynamic change of chemical species at the surface region of Å-nm thickness of liquid microdroplets. The goal of this research is an innovative progress to solutions for environmental and human health issues.
