Outline of Research Theme
Rare materials have been used as constituent elements of the high performance thermoelectric materials. To achieve high thermoelectric conversion efficency without rare materials, I focused on the coupling system of qasi-0-dimensional quantum dots and 1-dimensional quantum dot minibands. The objective of this study is to develop formation technique of such coupling systems composed of silicide semiconductor, which brings rare-metal-free nano-materials with high thermoelectric conversion efficency.
