Outline of Research Theme
In the present research, we perform theoretical materials design of next-generation devices by exploiting non-trivial electronic structures in various anisotropic environments ("non-bulk" environments). We especially aim to design unique functional systems, such as novel magnetic or thermoelectric materials from "ubiquitous" elements. In order to obtain realistic and quantitative information for actual experiments, all calculations are done from first principles.
