Nano Chemistry of Porous Protein Crystal

Novel porous materials are developed using protein crystals. The porous protein crystal (PPC) is available for the build-up of nano-architectures due to the diversity of the pore size and shape. In addition, the pore environment can be regulated with chemical functions and flexibility of amino acid residues on the interior. Our object is to establish"PPC chemistry" for the frontier of materials science to construct soft porous materials and understand atomic dynamics in the nano space. image
