Creation of Oxide
Thermoelectric Materials by Structure Control
and Function Estimation
(Associate Professor, Department of
Nano-Structures and Advanced Materials,
Graduate School of Science and Engineering,
Kagoshima University )
In this project, I will
try to create materials that display a large
thermoelectric response by nano-structure
control in terms of the randomness and
dimensionality in various oxide semiconductors,
strongly correlated electron materials in which
a repulsive force between the electrons
(strongly correlated effect) plays a crucial
role in the physical properties, and their
related materials. An attempt will be also made
to elucidate the nature of their thermoelectric
properties by a measurement of the
fundamental-physical properties under multiple
combinations of very-low temperature, high
pressure, and steady high magnetic
field.
