Noncovlent interaction play critical roles in the development of nano-devices. The aime of this project is to design and construct molcular machineries and dynamic nano-capsules from disk-shped multi-monodentate ligands and metal ions by using a supramolecular assembly. The dynammic nature of these well-defined entities based on multi-point ligand exchanges and changes in coordination geometries of metal ions enables us achieve molecular system that can control over the relative motions between components connected by metal ions and molecular recognition events through structural changes in the supramoleculr entities.
