Outline

In this study, we aim to develop an efficient technology for continuous production of high-pressure and high-quality hydrogen without CO-contamination from formic acid under mild reaction conditions in water. The development of environmentally-friendly and highly efficient catalyst for the dehydrogenation of formic acid at practical reaction temperature range (< 100 oC) and build-up of convenient process for condensation/purification of hydrogen gas by the use of high-pressure gas generated from formic acid are performed. In addition, hydrogen supply system with several attractive features will be proposed.
