Practical Training for Technology Transfer Personnel

Comprehensive Licensing / Licensing Mentorship Courses

【Training Overview】

The Comprehensive Licensing Course and License Mentorship Course provide hands-on training that involves IP management know-how for the “core personnel,” the talents who will bear the future of technology transfer. The courses are part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the universities’*1 IP management. With its primary focus being on licensing, the training will be conducted at TLOs (Technology Licensing Organizations)*2.

The applicants will be recruited and screened by JST. The TLOs, commissioned by JST, will undertake the training as instructors. Which TLO to have the training will be decided after considering the relevance between participants’ needs and TLOs’ training content.

*1 "Universities" include national, public, and private universities; national institutes of technology; inter-university research institutes; national research institutions; and, independent administrative agencies.
*2 A TLO is an organization with a platform that supports technology transfer of universities’ technological research findings.
