Programmable Synthesis of Highly Catalytic Active Site using Molecular Self-assemby

Outline
This research project aims to develop novel synthesis technique of noble metal-free fuel cell cathode catalysts with efficient oxygen reduction reaction performance. Using self-assembly of feedstock molecules, we will fabricate atomically-precise catalyst, such that the oxygen reduction reaction taking place along the catalyst – electrolyte interface is optimized. This technique would provide us with activity control of the catalytic interface thus achieving a highly effective cathode catalyst.
