Overview

In this technology area, we promote innovative and challenging research, mainly led by academia, to elucidate and utilize the mechanisms of interactions within complex biological systems in natural environments, which still contain many unknown aspects. Through the application of biotechnology, novel technological developments are expected to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality. Strong contributions to GHG emission reduction, carbon dioxide fixation, and resource utilization are highly anticipated in research and development.
