Chemical Transformations
If we can create a new bond from the desired position of any given organic molecules toward the desired direction, we can transform molecular structure in an ideal manner. With the aim of realizing this dream, we here conduct research to develop molecular technology for rigorously controlling radical reactions. We focus on establishing fundamental technology for ideal chemical transformations through the rational and precise design of molecular catalysts capable of simultaneously controlling the generation of free radicals and subsequent bond-forming processes. Such a molecular technology can bring about innovation of manufacturing indispensable for sustainability of high-quality human life.
