Relationship between nucleocytoplasmic communication and microtubules

Masamitsu Sato
Assistant Professor,Graduate School of Science,University of Tokyo

Filamentous microtubule structure pull chromosomes to two daughter cells during mitosis in order to inherit genetic information.

Disorders in microtubule formation in general cause cell death or tumorigenesis, therefore regulation of microtubule formation must be tightly regulated.

This study aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of accurate microtubule formation from the viewpoint of nucleocytoplasmic communication.
