Chirality Control of Carbon Nanotubes based on Organic Synthesis |
Synthesis of SWNT with single component is realized if the selective deposition of praphene unit occurs starting from the half-ball shaped "buckybowl"as a seed. The aim of the project is to develop the new methodology to construct the buckybowls stereoselectively and enantioselectively based on organic synthesis. From thus-obtained chiral buckybowls, preparation of single component SWNT will be attempted using the new deposition method. |
