Development of magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical application |
This project proposes the development of magnetic nanoparticles of several nanometer sizes by the original method we have accumulated for its future biomedical application to such areas as drug delivery system, imaging materials and hyperthermia treatment. Physical properties of magnetic nanoparticles should first be investigated in order to improve the quality of magnetic parameters. We are then going to relate our magnetic nanoparticles to biological functions by attaching amino residue and other molecules. These functional nanoparticles are further introduced into cells without any more modification. The basic aim of our attempt lies in realizing innovative nanomedicine technology. |
