Sendai virus (SeV) vector is a cytoplasmic RNA virus vector developed in Japan. Using the SeV vectors, we succeeded in the efficient generation of transgene-free human iPS cells. In this study, I will improve the technology to generate iPS cells more easily, and apply the cytoplasmic SeV vectors for the method of cell differentiation in order to accelerating the application of these 'safe' cells without chromosomal damage for the future regenerative medicine.
