I have developed a method that can rapidly disrupt a vast number of genes in mouse tissue cultured cells. Using this technique based on an unbiased forward genetics screen, essential genes responsible for the generation of iPS cells will be identified. It is highly likely that the unique unbiased feature of this method will allow us to reveal unpredicted mechanisms involved in the generation of iPS cells, which will open up a totally new aspect in the field of iPS cell research
