A trophic module-based approach to the maintenance mechanism of complex food webs |
Better understanding of the maintenance mechanism of biodiversity is a key to successful biodiversity conservation. A number of species coexist in a complex network of food web in nature. A food web canbe viewed as consisting of many interacting subwebs called trohic modules. The main purpose of my study is to analyze realistic dynamic models of natural food webs and reveal how intra-module structure and inter-module forces maintain the whole food web in concert.
