Overview
This project will conduct investigations to support the development of domestic and international rules for the appropriate use and dissemination of neurotechnology with artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the establishment and operation of governance systems based on such rules, based on an analysis of the ELSCI (ethical, legal, social, and cultural issues) and their impact on human cognition, behavior, and society. The project will also work to raise awareness and improve literacy among stakeholders. In addition, the project will explore and examine various cultural differences or commonalities in the acceptance of neurotechnology, as well as the underlying philosophical and ethical elements, to consider fundamental questions related to human identity and human rights. These findings will provide a theoretical foundation for the development of effective governance frameworks. Through such outcomes, the project aims to contribute to the continued practice of international collaboration in ELSI/RRI, the optimization of societal acceptance of cutting-edge science and technology, and the deepening of human understanding.
