Development of Electronic Materials Based on Carbon Nanotubes by Controlling Their Band Structures |
Single-Walled Carban Nanotubes (SWNTs), which are attracted remarkable attention for carbon nano materials, are produced as a mixture of metallic and semiconducting tubes. This project focuses on the development of new methods for separation of metallic and semiconducting SWNTs and for controlling electronic properties of SWNTs by chemical functionalization. The SWNTs-based materials controlled electronic properties have potential utility for development of nanoscience and widespread applications in industry. |
