The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), in order to promote international research interaction and exchange among researchers in Japan and Korea, are jointly accepting proposals for Japanese-Korean collaborative research projects in the field of "AI in the Physical World".

Details of Support
The Japanese side of the team will receive a maximum of 30 million yen (including indirect expenses equivalent to 30% of direct expenses) for the duration of research (36 month).
It is expected that about 3 projects will be funded.

Application Procedure
- The inclusion of research participants from industry in the Japanese team is encouraged. JST will fund the academic research institutions in the Japanese research team in principle.
- The project leader of the Japanese team must register their application information in PDF format (joint application form and Japan-specific application form) in the Cross-Ministerial R&D Management System (e-Rad) by the application deadline.
- If applicants do not submit required documents to both JST and NRF by the deadline, the proposal shall not be accepted and not be brought to the evaluation process.

Notes
- "Letter of Confirmation by the Head of the Institution" (for Japanese researchers only) require the stamp of the institution's top person. In the case of a university or college, the top person is the president, not the dean.
- Complete a research ethics training program conducted by the research institute with which they are affiliated and then declare the completion of the program to JST by the deadline of the call for proposals. Unless applicants complete a research ethics program, their application will be deemed ineligible for funding.
- If you have not registered information related to research integrity with e-Rad after the e-Rad upgrade on March 15, 2022, please make sure to register the information. This is not required if you have already registered.
