The contemporary information space is a vital infrastructure for modern society, yet it faces serious societal risks from the spread of mis/disinformation and defamation driven by the dynamics of attention economy.

This project aims to develop and evaluate support methods that foster healthy information spaces, tailored to users’ preferences and behaviors. Based on the concept of “informational health” as a framework to understand and improve digital information environments, we seek to explore and to define what constitutes a healthy state of the information space and information behavior.

By advancing these initiatives, the project seeks to mitigate societal risks associated with digital mis/disinformation and defamation, and to establish the foundation for a new academic discipline focused on enhancing the public information environment.
