Call for participants in scoping workshop for 'Advancing Innovation × Agriculture' research collaboration among Japan, the United States, Australia and India

    ・Researchers interested in joint research among the 4 countries in 'Advancing Innovations × Agriculture' (who belong to Japanese research organizations or companies).
    ・Persons who can attend the workshop onsite in Singapore.

2. Purpose and Overview of the Workshop

In recent years there has been growing interest in the field of food security, which aims to improve food productivity and resilience in response to increasing food demand and crises such as the scarcity of land and water resources. Japan, the United States, Australia and India are now preparing to accelerate cooperation in food security research with a focus on emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, communications and sensing.
A joint workshop will therefore be organized for researchers interested in the topic of 'Advancing Innovation × Agriculture' to discuss research cooperation opportunities among the four countries. To participate, please follow the instructions below and submit a White Paper summarizing your cooperation proposal by application deadline. We expect 5~10 participants from each country.

3. How to Apply

  • Please download the application form (White Paper) and submit by the application deadline: NOON 28th December 2023 (Japan time). The application form should be submitted to JST listed in the "5. Contact for Inquires" section. Please note that the e-mail title and file name should be as below.

  • JST will select participants from applicants who submit a White Paper and contact the candidates later.
  • Travel Costs:Participants are expected to bear travel and accommodation costs to Singapore by themselves, though there may be travel support available through JST. If you need any support, please place a check mark in the appropriate box listed on White Paper.
