COVID-19の世界的な感染拡大から数年が経過し、世界で初めて実用化されたCOVID-19ｍRNAワクチンの登場で、「mRNA」という単語は広く世間に知られるようになりました。このmRNAを用いた技術はCOVID-19ワクチンだけでなく、様々な病気に対する予防薬・治療薬として世界中で研究開発が進められています。当オンラインセッションでは、モデルナ社のChief Scientific OfficerであるMelissa J. Mooreが来日し、最新のｍRNA医薬・ワクチンに関する知見をお伝えするとともに、日本の研究者や学生とmRNA技術を使った新たな医薬・ワクチンの可能性について議論します。

Several years after the global spread of COVID-19, the word "mRNA" became widely known with the advent of the first practical COVID -19 mRNA vaccine in the world. This mRNA-based technology is being researched and developed worldwide as a prophylactic and therapeutic for not only the COVID -19 vaccine but also various other diseases. In this online session, Moderna, Inc. Chief Scientific Officer Melissa J. Moore will visit Japan to share information about the latest mRNA medicines and vaccines, and discuss with Japanese researchers and students the potential of new medicines and vaccines using mRNA technology.
