Life has generated an ultimate catalyst, protein enzyme, by trial and error in evolutionary pathways over 3.8 billion years. In this project, to harness the latent ability of such enzymes, the innovative biocatalyst will be designed and constructed. Specifically, the bioelectrocatalysts will be built up by combination of methane hydroxylase with electrochemical processes.
