Outline

This research is aimed at creating rationally-designed artificial enzymes by conjugation between artificial metallocomplexes and protein matrices to catalyze conversion reactions of light alkanes. A highly active metal complex containing fist row transition metal will be inserted into a suitable protein matrix precisely designed by molecular dynamics simulation to serve as a highly active and selective catalyst for conversion reactions of light alkanes such as propane, ethane and methane.
