Outline

The free-surface motion of three-dimensional polymeric fluids will be studied by means of mathematical modeling, numerical analysis and numerical simulation. In this research project, two kinds of interfaces will be treated: the moving boundary of the polymeric fluid and that of the phase separation. This research project will contribute to the development of new polymeric materials, the prediction of polymeric products’ material properties, and to improving the efficiency of production processes. A main goal of our research project is to realize three-dimensional high-speed injection molding through the numerical simulation of polymeric fluid equations.
