This project is aiming to create advanced optical materials by the self-assembly of supramolecularly-modulated functional dyes.
Unique photoresponsive disk-shaped modules are extended to novel columnar assemblies, the function of which can be controlled by light.
Furthermore, functional dyes are developed into various self-assembled nanoarchitectures with diverse kind of optical properties using flexible supramolecular polymer modules.
