[RESEARCH THEME]
The researcher has developed a unique and high-performance organic transistor called metal-base organic transistor (MBOT), which realizes lower voltage and higher current operation compared to conventional organic field-effect transistors.
In this study, a novel organic device of "light-emitting transistor" is proposed using the MBOT structure.
This device can switch the current by the third electrode voltage, and furthermore, shine itself like organic light-emitting diodes.
The project includes clarifying the operation mechanism of the MBOT, development of design and fabrication methods, and application for display devices.
