Fabrication of Super Strong and Lightweight Carbon Wires using a Graphene-Fusing Additive |
The goal of this project is to develop an efficient technique, which is needed for producing an active site on the surface of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) extensively and cross-linking between individual nanotubes, is able to extend primary mechanical properties of individual CNT to bulk structure. I focus on the fabrication of super strong and lightweight carbon wires that are composed of bundled CNT fibers cross-linking each CNT with a graphene-fusing additive. |
