Outline

For achieving personalized/precision/preventive medicine such as the prediction of disease and optimum therapy for individuals, we will fully integrate a large number of data resources. These resources include BioBank Japan data of 330,000 cases across 47 diseases, multi-omics data of cancer patients, prospective genome cohorts of liver and arthritis patients, and publically available molecular DBs. This set of “Big data” represents a unique resource in the world, and will be analyzed using advanced statistics and computer science. Furthermore, we will develop new methodologies for medical big data analysis, which will be necessary in the near future for medical practice.
