Application Procedure

  • The joint proposal and Japanese application information should be submitted electronically via the Cross-Ministerial R&D Management System (e-Rad).
  • An e-Rad manual for applicants is available (in Japanese):「e-Radによる応募情報入力の方法」

  • Joint application form 5. Financial tables: Summary of costs & efforts
In (SUMMARY TABLE), please enter the total amount of research expenses for four years.
In the (FINANCIAL TABLE FOR JAPANESE PARTNERS), please enter the breakdown of research expenses for the four years for each research institution participating in the Japanese research team.
  • Because e-Rad is based on a fiscal year basis, the research period for basic information should be from (start) FY2023 to (end) FY2027, and for research costs, please register a budget for each fiscal year.

Notes

  • Compliance agreement documents require the stamp of the institution's top person. In the case of a university or college the top person is the president, not the dean.
  • When research institutions are national or municipal organizations, such institutions concluding research contracts are obliged to implement necessary budgetary measures before entering research contracts for which they are responsible. Please confirm with your institution and contact JST before submitting.
  • If you have not registered information related to research integrity with e-Rad after the e-Rad upgrade on March 15, 2022, please make sure to register the information. This is not required if you have already registered.
  • If applicants do not submit required documents to both JST and ANR by the deadline, the proposal shall not be accepted and not be brought to the evaluation process.
