Call for Research Applications for FY 2020

FOREST program invites applications for challenging and original research that requires long term endeavor without fear of failures, targeting research fields related to science and technology (excluding those related to the humanities alone) with the potential to create seeds that will lead to disruptive innovation.

The call for research applications will be conducted via the Cross-ministerial R&D Management System (e-Rad). Those applications which have not completed the application process by the specified deadline will not be accepted for any reason.

Please note that, for the FY 2020 call, only one application will be accepted per applicant regardless of the affiliated institution at the time of the application. In addition, the program plans to hold three calls for research applications with this fiscal year being the first and subsequently in FY 2021 and 2022, and up to two applications can be made per applicant regardless of the affiliated institution at the time of the application.
