Information exchange and consensus building among a group are one of the most important activities in the modern society. In order to develop information processing technology for improving the efficiency of these activities, it is required to establish a method for understanding multiparty interaction. In this study, conversation analytic methods, which have been focusing mainly on dialogues between two participants, are extended with emphasis on treating multiparty interaction as well, based on field studies of meetings held in the real world. In addition, the method developed by this study is also applied for various forms of fields of multiparty interaction.
