The ultimate goal of this research project is to develop a new class of hybrid quantum nanostructures with novel optical functionalities superior to those of the component nanomaterials. We explore new techniques to enable future opt-electronics devices such as single-photon sources and ultra efficient solar cells based on the hybrid nanostructures made of various nobel nanomaterials such as single-walled carbon nanotubes, where exciton dynamics are controlled by interactions between the component nanomaterials.
