Outline

In agriculture, big data on field conditions and management records is being collected energetically. However, data on plant characteristics including yield, quality, and stress resistance which are quite important in plant breeding and management is insufficient because obtaining characteristics data requires tremendous cost and long time. On the other hand, characteristics data has been collected for many years in various breeding programs. However, the data is usually no longer used once a breeding program is finished. The purpose of this study is to obtain big data on plant characteristics immediately by reviving the enormous legacy data unused.
