Outline

We will tackle the algorithmic technical barriers for future interactive big data exploration systems. In particular, we focus on interactive analysis and decision making systems for complex data such as graphs and high-dimensional data. When handling large data under interactive settings, even linear-time algorithms are not sufficiently fast. Therefore, we develop scalable algorithms for indexing and sampling, which enable interactive detection and extraction of valuable information from large data.
