Research Outline

This study aims the material design and applications of novel catalysts for combustion of ammonia, which is considered as carbon-free energy produced by using solar thermochemical water splitting cycles. The target catalyst enables low-temperature ignition as well as negligible emission of fuel nitrogen oxides to realize environmentally friendly catalytic combustors. The use of ammonia as potential substitute for fossil fuel resources can be prompted by knowledge gained from this study.
