Outline

A novel method for direct electrochemical synthesis of organic hydride as an energy career is proposed in this study. The aim of this study is the establishment of facile and highly-efficient electrosynthesis of organic hydrides at liquid-liquid-solid (oil-water-electrode) three phase interface controlled by a microemulsion method. Properties of the three phase interface and the reaction mechanism of the electrosynthesis will be characterized and investigated in order to optimize three phase boundary and develope electrode materials for the electrosyntheiss. Practical electrosyntheis cells will be designed and operated by combining the optimized microemulsion and developed electrode materials.
