Outline

The photosynthetic response to fluctuating sun light can be a useful measure of photosynthetic capacity and conditions of a plant. The present research aims to understand how field crops respond to fluctuating light intensity and its genotypic and environmental variation by developing a novel technique to remotely and continuously detect photosynthetic induction time in a natural crop field. This study could serve as a basis of designing cultivars and techniques that are able to cope with environmental stresses by extreme weather or extensive agriculture.
