Outline
Principle of crop breeding, is the utilization of natural variations that has been accumulated massively during long history of life. This genome-wide study is designed to reveal genetic factors hindering interspecies-hybridization, and to comprehensively understand the molecules determining species identity. The project eventually aims at the ‘Extension’ of usable genetic resources in breeding programs via manipulation of the interspecies-barriers.
