Outline

In this project, complex molecular response to drought stress in crop reveals by applying chemical genetic dissection, which enables to distinguish the different trait among drought tolerant wheat varieties. Additionally, basic research in molecular biology will be performed for improving drought tolerant wheat through identification of QTL related to abscisic acid sensitivity and development of genetic and metabolic markers in drought field. Final goal aims for development of water-saving drought tolerant wheat to achieve stable food production in water-limited arid lands.
