Outline

The aim of this research is to identify environmental and plant signals that induce sex reversal in plant parasitic nematodes and to clarify the molecular mechanism of nematode sex determination. The findings could help to develop a new control strategy of plant parasitic nematodes in the field through the sex ratio manipulation of nematodes. This will direct the current control strategy of plant parasitic nematodes towards more environmentally friendly way.
