Outline

In material development processes, we need to control material microstructure since it is closely related to material properties. In this study, phase-field models are developed for simulating microstructure evolution in structural materials. Some physical parameters involved in the phase-field models are estimated or optimized from experimental data on the basis of the data assimilation method. In order to examine the effects of the physical parameters on the microstructure evolution, phase-field simulations and sensitivity analyses are performed.
