Outline

Since the use of methane as a carbon resource becomes highly important, the development of catalysts that can directly and selectively produce useful chemicals from methane has been strongly desired. In this project, zeolite catalysts for direct conversion of methane into methanol, propene and butens bypassing the syngas intermediate will be designed and developed. The strategy for developing the catalysts is based on the control of the locations of the active sites in the micropores of zeolite.
